Earlier in the week, I checked my BlackBerry and found a note from Andrea saying that a box had arrived on her doorstep with her author copies of Be Still in it. She could hardly wait to tell the other authors what an amazing job Summerside did with the book. I hurried home ... but no box on my door.
Then Loree got hers, and she emailed us to tell us so.
Still nothing.
At around 4:00 when the poor delivery guy pulled up in front of my house, I quickly sent a note to the others: There's a delivery truck at the end of my driveway. I nearly knocked the poor guy over trying to get to that box in his arms, and I tore into the thing like a 6-year-old on Christmas morning. We've been waiting such a long time to see our dream put to print.
My friends, it was worth the wait!
Be Still ... and Let Your Nail Polish Dry is a full-color, hardbound devotional with a lovely ribbon bookmark included. It is chock full of anecdotes and stories about the challenges, frustrations, joys and surprises that women face. It was created as a 2x per week yearlong devotional, but I've already heard from a couple of people who said they couldn't stop reading and were halfway through it already! Summerside Press has done an exceptional job creating a beautiful gift book that is sure to touch you in some way.
Putting this book into our readers' hands has been something that Debby, Andrea, Loree and I (and our editor, Connie) have been dreaming about for a year now. Not only is it meant to bless you and bring you closer to Jesus ... but it's helping to put funds into ovarian cancer research, a cause near and dear to my heart.
I hope you'll get your hands on a copy of this book, and that you'll let us know what you think! If you're in the Tampa area, Debby and I will be doing a series of signings at stores like Barnes & Noble, Lifeway and Family Christian. Come out and meet us!
This book is for you, sweet readers, and it comes from very deep within the hearts of five women who love you dearly. So get a copy and BE STILL! Now there's something uplifting and entertaining to read while you LET YOUR NAIL POLISH DRY.
Blessings!

Congrats on the arrival of your book. I remember seeing mine for the first time. Almost as good as holding your baby in your arms for the first time - almost. Just a differnt kind of delivery that took much longer than 9 months to get there.
How exciting for you ladies!! I am looking forward to purchasing my copy very soon - - I'm sure I'll love it. Blessings, Patti Jo :)
And how super is it that, in just DAYS, it sold out at Amazon!
Ours is a wondrous and loving God, to deliver His word to Christian women AND provide a way for these four humble authors to contribute to OCRS.
Praise His name, hallelujah!
